REGARDING HIS MOUNTAINEERING EXPEDITIONS :



NAME :SIRDAR ANG TSHERING SHERPA
DATE OF BIRTH :1904


Awards won by Late Mr. Ang Tshering Sherpa


1924:
A member of Mount Everest Expetition under Ervine and Mallery.

1929:
Kanchenjunga Expedition under German leadership of Mr. Bawar.

1930-31:
Swiss and German Expedition Jaunsio peak under the leadership of Mr. Dyrenfunth (it was a joint expedition). Mr. Ang Tshering Sherpa was awarded German Medal.

1933:
Everest Expedition with British leader Mr. Ruttledge.

1934:
Nangaparbat expedition with leader Mr. Markil during attempt of the third peak Mr. Markil and six Sherpas died. Mr. Ang Tshering Sherpa was in the mountain without food for seven days and returned back. After this expedition he was hospitalised for one year for emputation of his two legs (fingers).

1935:
Received German Red Cross Medal from General Bross.

1952:
Bengal Sappers expediton to Mt. Kamat Climbid about 24,000 ft. on 26.06.1952 as a Sirdar, recommended by General G. Willamson.

1952:
Swiss Expedition to Mt. Everest under the leadership of Mr. Chevalley.
