Khumbu Sherpa Culture Trek
Welcome to Vertical Adventures' Khumbu Region's Sherpa Culture & Monastic Trek! This particular trek is designed to give you an experience of the Sherpa cultural heritage and Buddhist life styles in high places within the Sagarmatha National Park in Solu-Khumbu District, which is commonly known as "Khumbu" or "Everest Region". It is the home of the Sherpa people and the legendary Yeti. The Khumbu region features unique natural and cultural landscapes and the unsurpassed Sherpa hospitality. Visitors are also blessed with magnificent views of the towering peaks of Everest, Nuptse, Lhotse Shar, Tamserku, Kwangde, Khumbi-ila, Kangteiga, Ama Dablam, Tawoche, Cho Oyu, and Pumori.

Day 01:

Arrive in Kathmandu. Receive and transfer to hotel. Overnight at Hotel.

Day 02:

Kathmandu City Tour. Overnight at Hotel.
|

Day 03:
|
Fly Kathmandu - Lukla - trek Phakding. Overnight at lodge.
|
|
Day 04:
|
Trek Phakding - Namche Bazaar.
|
|
Day 05:
|
Namche Bazaar - leisure day for acclimatization. A side trip may be made to nearby Sherpa villages.

|
Day 06:
|
Trek Namche Bazaar - Thame Monastery – Syangboche.
|
|
Day 07:
|
Trek Syangboche - Khumjung Village.
|
|
Day 08:
|
Trek Khumjung Village - Phortse Village
|

Day 09:
|
Trek Phortse Village - Pangboche Village
|
|
Day 10:
|
Trek Pangoboche Village - Tyangboche Monastery.

Day 11:
|
Trek Tyangboche - Namche Bazaar.

Day 12:
|
Trek back Namche Bazaar - Phakding.
|

Day 13:
|
Trek back Phakding - Lukla.
|

Day 14:
|
Fly back Lukla to Kathmandu. Overnight at hotel.

Day 15 / 16:
|
Free days. These days are spare days and can be used as supplementary days in case the flights to/from Lukla cancelled/delayed due to bad weather. These days can be used for optional sightseeing/shopping in Kathmandu. On the last day evening, a farewell dinner at Nepalese typical restaurant with culture show will be provided. Overnight at hotel.
